Can I tell you that I will be happy when TV gets back to normal…God really answered my prayers a few weeks ago when the writers went back to work.  This is what I think of TV thus far in 2008:

  • BIG BROTHER:  I have to agree with Mr. Horton over at the Holla.  Those Big Brother houseguests are straight up crazy.  I have a feeling that CBS is going to have to hose them down before the end.  Read some of the reality TV sites and you will find that those people are a bunch of freaks. 
  • AMERICAN IDOL:  The auditions wore me out.  The past two weeks have been good and bad.  Simon definitely needs a proctologist to remove that corn cob.  I must admit that I agree with him most of the time but he is one arrogant Brit.  One Idol note:  I am usually not one that likes the sappy contestants but I like David Archuleta.  That kid has some pipes…  You can see last week’s performance by clicking HERE. 
  • Real World / Road Rules Challenge:  This show cracks me up.  I don’t think these kids will ever get a real job.  Speaking of getting hosed down, this crowd needs it big time. 
  • Survivor:  Same old, same old.  The producers do a good job keeping things fresh.  It never ceases to amaze me that some of these folks obviously have never watched the show closely.  Or….they could be just plain dumb.
  • Celebrity Apprentice:  SUCKS!  Donald Trump bites.  Ivanka Trump had to be a boy when she was born…YUK!!!
  • Rob and Big:  They crack me up.  I have one major gripe about this one.  Being the DVR junkie that I am, I am always missing one or two minutes at the beginning or at the end.  Big Daddy just might have to send MTV an email. 

I have some shows in the hopper that I have recorded from the fall that I have been trying to hold out from watching.  I am quickly running out of them and I am not accustomed to have my DVR below 50% usage.  (Tree no smart comments!)   

I know that this Spring is not a complete lost cause as it relates to TV.  I have picked up a new hobby for one hour every night…Guitar Hero.  I suck.  At least I am having fun!!!
