I love March Madness. I love the end of college basketball season even though I will miss it when it is all said and done. March also ushers another kind of madness in the O’Neal house. The spring soccer season starts for both kids, baseball starts for Seth and softball for Anderson. Besides acting as chauffeur, I coach Anderson’s softball team. I am coming out of a brief retirement from softball myself. Teresa and I have several other commitments that are ongoing. Some of you may be thinking, we are absolutely crazy. I think some days we feel like it. In many ways, I think this time of year may be my favorite time of year! Let me explain.
We are coming out of a great Easter Weekend at Pine Ridge. I have to say in all the places that we have had to be, our busyness placed us in the perfect position to invite people to PRC. We actually had a couple of people show up this past weekend to check us out. I think many times we forget the “busyness” that we allow into our daily routines can be positive. I personally feel that you can’t always run high octane without any “chill time”. So those of you that want to add more to your routine, know your limits. Know that God has called you to be His vessel and it doesn’t need to be broken with gaping holes.
As Spring Break is fading away, think about all the activities you have waiting for you next week. Think about how you can convert the exhausting feeling of “busyness” into time that God truly honors.
PEACE OUT!
