I love classic cartoons. As a kid, I would wake up early every Saturday morning to watch cartoons and eat brown-sugar cinammon pop-tarts. I would sit from 7AM until noon watching cartoons. I am sure Teresa will say that is partly to blame for my TV addiction today. I just could not get enough of them.
As I polled some of my younger employees this week, I could not believe that they had not heard of some of my favorite cartoons. Below is a list of a few of my favorites (click on the name and you should see a sample):
Land of the Lost (OK not necessarily a cartoon BUT was included in my Saturday morning ritual)
I liked The Jetsons, The Flintstones, Spider-Man and The Hulk too. You know most of the younguns’ in my office heard of those. For those of you old farts, have remembering the “good ole days”!

You must be older than I think, because the only ones I remember seeing from that list are Fat Albert and Superfriends. My list would also have Bugs Bunny, Scooby Doo, Captain Caveman, Saved by the Bell, and The Baseball Bunch. And I also had Saturday-morning WWF back when it was still kid-safe (Ricky the Dragon Steamboat rules!).

HUH? We got up at 7 am to watch the “horror show” which was big spiders, werewolf, etc. and then we watched Bugs Bunny. The “cartoons” I have seen today have more violence in them than the early Sat am show did. Oh- I also watched the guy that taught drawing- don’t know why, I have no artistic talent! And don’t forget RoadRunner! This was late 50’s, early 60’s.
Brian- we watched wrestling on Sat night late- Rick Flair, oh yeah!

We must be sooo young, because we don’t have a clue as to who the Jetson’s are or even Fat Albert!
